Love the small size. An option for color change would be nice, though - for the fonts and the background. The title of what you're counting down to should be a bit clearer, as well. Otherwise - great little countdown! I love it!

This is a really nice widget, love the small size very much.
Would it be difficult to add an option to have the display show years, months and weeks in addition to the current days, minutes and seconds? It doesn't all have to display at the same time, just the option to select any combination for display. And a progress in percentage would be nice too. Also can you expand this to allow for multiple events to be tracked? I'm counting down my European vacation and my father's retirement and would love to know his progress in years, months, weeks and percentage. I know there are other countdown/up widgets in the gallery, but none look as nice as yours.

I'd like to request a soundfile played when countdown is reached.

Go to the Gear menu, then the Widget Preferences submenu, then select "Can't Wait!" and change the Window Level preference to something other than "Floating."

I went into properties and changed something and now the widget it always on top, I can't move it, and I can't right click and get back into the properties. Any idea how to undo this?

This widget is excellent and fits perfectly into the window bar.
I would like to have it opened multiple instances. The workaround I did is to copy that widget with a different name. Then it is possible.
Would be great, if user could decide to fade out the days.

Yep, it is due to Daylight Saving Time.
Unfortunately, at present, I do not know how to fix this problem.

I may be nuts but i have found a bug.
i set the count down to 16:15:00 one month ahead and it hows 29:02:03 (example excludes seconds) which is right i guess. however if i change the start date ahead more than two months it changes to 151:03:03 (example excludes seconds)
pritty much it seams to add an extra hour.
I have a theory this is cos of the change for winter time. but i may be wrong. I dont thin that should effect it really.
Please can you explain this to me.

Please note that 1.1.1 isn't the major update I've been talking about. The major version will be coming soon (I hope).

looks like with some visual changes this could upgrade to the countdown calendar of mac tiger dashboard countdown. I've been looking for one to complement the mac version I have.

The size is perfect (and I have my monitor to max resolution. I love the fact that you can run three copies of it for many countdowns. It would get four stars IF you could eliminate the seconds.

Immediately used it to start counting down to QuakeCon! It's unobtrusive and looks sharp. It would be nice to specify no second, no minutes, no hours, to cut down on CPU usage. Nice work!

Thank _you_ for responding, Strike. :) I like to give the best user experience possible, and listening to the users is the only way to do that.
Marc, I think what I'll do is have a preference that lets you show all digits, get rid of seconds, get rid of minutes, or get rid of hours. I know I wouldn't want it counting down seconds if the event is two decades from now. :P

Nice. Thank you. Is it possible only to show all in hours (eg. my 1631 days in hours?) Or only days (without hours, minutes, seconds)

I've actually been contemplating a preference for this Widget that would allow the user to have the current behavior, or only display minutes, hours, and days to solve the CPU usage problem. The latter would update once a minute. What do you think of this idea?

Nice... exactly what I've been looking for. Burns 2-3% of the CPU, but I guess that's expected with the once-per-second updating it has to do...

It would be nice for another digit. Those old folks like myself, who are planning retirement further out than 3 years, needs it.

Wow, too small? I thought anything smaller than my cursor would be too small. ;-)
Seriously, if this is too small for your needs, you might want to try out flipCount. It's at http://www.widgetgallery.com/view.php?widget=35836 .
