To play the voice in windows, hit control + space. To change the voice, go to the control panel > speech > text to speech. The female voices are the easiest to understand. Nice widget, very simple.

I really like this widget. it is a time waster indeed. :D However, some suggestions: Kind of big. could you make it resizable or minimizable? And make it look cool.

Really cool widget though!!

Maria - February 4, 2006
I love it but I can't seem to get it to copy and paste. I have Windows XP. I tried Control plus C and Control plus P but it won't work. Thanks for the neat widget.

Cmd-space = spotlight = no worky. :'(

It seems you have a Mac. On the PC, ctrl-space already has a function: selecting individual items on a list (such as in a disk folder) with the keyboard. I had this widget running and tried to move some files, only to have to listen to the voice repeating the same phrase about 14 times, with no way to stop it. I would suggest that you pick a different hot key. It was unexpected and annoying. I didn't think it would commandeer the computer that way, even from the konpose level.

Chewy - July 28, 2005
Its hilarious. Even though it mispronounces a lot of stuff

Windows keyboard commands
Use Ctrl-C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste on windows based pc's. Ctrl- Spacebar to listen.

PFT - April 9, 2005
On my XP Pro system, I found I can move the app window by using the Ctrl+ALT keys. Ctrl+Spacebar works for executing speech. To change voices in XP, use Control Panel>Speech>Text to Speech. I searched on the web to find the Mike and Marry voices to add (came with Microsoft SAM). HTH :-)

larry - March 5, 2005
Just downloaded iSpeak....it is hilarious. You can make it say anything !

Jordan P. - January 8, 2005

Hello -- I am a windows user, and for some reason this widget isn't working for me at all when I install. The file is only 1kb -- and it seems like it's just the shortcut that is the download. Has anyone encountered this problem? Please reply, as I really want to have this widget...

Ender - September 8, 2004
Works well, even though cmd+space is my current hotkey for LaunchBar. Configurable key settings would be perfect!
