I wish the background were a bit brighter; The defintion would be easier to see.

hi,
haven't used it yet (thus i can't rate it).
but i could image an added feature that would help us non-native speakers a lot: a "voice interface", i.e. an option the computer could read the word, thus giving an impression of the right pronounciation. just think of the difference between "inviteable" and "inevitable" - which may seem obvious for a nativespeaker, but pretty hard on us foreigners.
dunno how it could be implemented in a widget, but i've seen it on websites such as h++p://www.bartleby.com/61/20/I0122000.html or h++p://www.answers.com/inevitable

Can u plz change the interface? The widget takes too much space. Heres a very good one http://www.widgetgallery.com/?author=445
Unfortunately, wordsmith(it's source)provides words that are extremely difficult and seldom used.

Keep up the good work.

don't like the stains...

KRAFTiMAC - April 25, 2005
Started working within seconds. I'm happy to have it in my collection. Thank you, Scott.

Sorry 'bout the stains, had a little accident while building the widget. Maybe I can get it to the cleaners for the next version.

The usage example is not available in the RSS feed. However, you may click the Yahoo logo to visit the website for example and synonyms.

Thanks for the feedback.

Scott

Finally someone made this type of widget! I really like it. Great work!
Just one thing:
-have the option to include the usage examples

Mmm, coffee stains...

A very useful widget. However I'd like an unstained background. Also, why not include the usage example? I think the usage example is important.

Sorry forgot to rate it.

Nice but should have a background chooser for it.

But over all I love it now I can be smart and good looking. :)
