I love it...my favorite....love the fact that you can add your own words, only wish is that the voice was a little smother and you could give it a slight pause at certain words; like using the '/' sign for a 2 sec pause. Also have another question for you...could you email me at keith_miller38@yahoo.com...Thanks for all your work.

One of the very best widgets ever, in my opinion!
Very nice looking.. Very slick looking. Alot (but not all)
widgets out there are a bit weak graphically.
Your one is sharp and looks excellent.

Thanks!

Ghostwalker: The .plist is simply the default preference file generated by the widget (or by Konfabulator on the widget's behalf) on first launch. It must get its information from default placement coordinates.
I assume these coordinates must differ from Windows to Mac
I tried to search through the widget code itself at the time to find the issue, but was pressed for time and just checked the .plist instead. Since it worked, I never looked back. I'll check again when I get a chance.
Thanks for Nice widget, by the way! ;)

For us old folks that don't see so well, could you add a pref for the size of the date. I hacked to give a value of 16 times font scale and I can see that fine at the scale I have it set.

Lovely clock, my favourate.

I have it on speech - but it says 13, 14 and perhaps 15 o'clock. It also says 12 noon at midnight.

It doesn't make that much difference but nixes the last star.

Ted any idea how I can fix that in my widget I dont have a mac
so where does the "Have A Nice Day v1.1.widget.plist" get its info from?

Ted - June 12, 2005
Mac Users: If you search for the "Have A Nice Day v1.1.widget.plist", open it in a text editor and find the window placement coordinates. One of the numbers is negative. Make that positive, restart Konfabulator, and it will show up on the main monitor.

@Ysabel-Go into prefs and make sure the "Edit the widget theme" is checked click save go down to where it says "add a message to the clock" there you will see the default message make sure "animate the widget is also checked.
@Ray-Im not sure whats going on there when I get a little time maybe you could do some beta testing for me.(I wonder if anyone else is having this problem on the mac?)

This is the best widget ever! Try typing different messages to get the clock to say funny things. What a hoot!

You might for now I would need a list of errors on the debug window Global/onLoad: ReferenceError: nowString is not defined (HAND2 Clock.kon: Line 186) this one is for winows to speak it not sure how the mac gets the command. I will have to look at some mac widgets that speak.

Jools does the widget speak the time?

Ricky Romero - March 28, 2005
It worked fine on my Mac when I tested it, so I changed the platform. Should I put a disclaimer?

simon - March 28, 2005
never mind.. didn't see it in preference
it's perfect for me!

simon - March 28, 2005
It's kinda huge for me.. if you can have a resize function, that would be great

ghostwalker - March 28, 2005
Jools this was supposed to be windows only but if that is the only problem you have with it so far I will take another look.I dont have a mac wished I did.

Jools - March 27, 2005
It looks great, but I get several errors reported in the debug window when I set it chime on the 1/4 hour:

Global/onLoad: ReferenceError: nowString is not defined (HAND2 Clock.kon: Line 186)
(running latest version on OS X - haven't tried on the XP PC yet)

[2 Stars - looks good - very promising - will up when errors go]
