Wonderful job! Works great! I really love all of the information available so I don't have to go online to update info on my Palm handheld. It's just what I needed to keep up with the weekly schedule and scores. Thanks alot.

Good Idea, but needs update badly to refresh automactically. Everytime I manually refresh the ticker goes blank except for top header & bottom header, then to get it back you have to close widget & reopen. That is a major flaw!!!

I am again seeing a duplication of games. The "CHI at ARI" line is duplicated. . It's been almost a year since the author, Chris has replied to a message here. I wonder if he is still around?

I'm not really a football junkie, but this widget does it all for me and a lot more. If your into Football you need to be into this widget. Once you learn how it works, you won't need a TV.

I love this widget but I am getting the same error as the feedback a few comments down.
"NFL_Ticker was unable to load itself succesfully"
What do I do to solve this problem since every other widget I have is working?

I am also seeing the duplicate entries at the bottom of the display.
On a side note, any chance of making this into a Dashboard Widget?? PLEASE?
Thank you!

"NFL_Ticker was unable to load itself succesfully"?
Any ideas? This is the only widget that is not opening.

This is a great widget. One suggestion I imagine would make this PERFECT. I have a weather warning widget that disapears when there are no warnings. Obviously Football is played between Sat-Mon. It would be very usefull to give the user option of displaying it on X Day. That way it disapears from the desktop when not on one of those days.
Thanks.

I've seen it happen where the Standings window wouldn't open. I closed and reopened the widget and from them on it worked fine. I haven't been able to reproduce that issue again so I don't know if there is something I need to change or not.

I've noticed that the 'standings' button doesn't seem to work anymore. I know it used to......odd.

Great Widget. However when games go into half-time the scores disappear. I imagine this has to do with the way the source material is formatted.

Any chance your could make this for Dashboard on OS X as well? Same with baseball, etc?

Still a great widget....
Seems Carlos may want to rethink his comments that I am flat out wrong. Seems he might want to do some research before opening his mouth... oh well, courage behind the keyboard rears its ugly head once again.
Keep it up Chris

There's a new version on the way that allows you to pick the transparency and the background color.

This is the only widget I've seen with just the scores, which is all I need from a widget. Nice work.
Suggestions: It is rather large. Can you make it collapsible, so maybe the top line is visible all the time, but if you click on it, the scores drop down like a window shade? Or maybe make the scores scroll vertically through a one-line window.
What do you think?

Nice, but it's too transparent when set to 100% opacity. This can make it difficult to read with some backgrounds.

The abbreviations come from ESPN. I'm just displaying the data they are sending out.
The widget polls ESPN every five minutes. I can only update the information in the widget as fast as ESPN is updating it.

Given the popularity of the NFL, it's amazing that this seems to be the only widget to get scores. Author seems to be stubbornly clinging to nonstandard abbreviations despite suggestions here, and there is no indication about frequency of updates. No thanks. There is a nice Flash animation with automatically updated scores on the home page of Fox Sports. I'll keep that open instead.

oh yes, and obviously, the thing should autoupdate itself as often as possible for those sunday morning scrambles, rather than having to hit the refresh key all the time

gator is flat out wrong. abbreviations should be changed to a more standard format (arizona however is appropriately denoted as ARI, and i could either way on green bay). additionally, i'd like to see the option to colorize the background.
then, as a complete bonus, so if feasible and if there's time to spare, being able to scroll back through previous weeks' scores would be nice.

Great tool... the comments about the abreviations, totally acceptable, don't let the lesser aptitudes get you down.
How about a standings ticker... that would also rock
For the one who commented on the abbreviations, think about it, all of those abbreviations are correct, just because they don't match NFL.com does not mean they are wrong. Let's see your submission, or better yet, let us know where you get your abbreviations, because if you DO look at NFL.com, yours happen to be wrong also. Pls forward your correction message to them for us to read.
