Simple Widget that uses a small, colored globe to indicate the current Internet Storm Center INFOCon status (see isc.sans.org for the best daily Internet security information including the current INFOCon status and information on INFOcon).

The check interval can be set from 1-24 hours via the preferences window or you can double click the widget to refresh the status immediately. Quick links to ISC and the Widget home pages are also available on the context menu.

So there is a newer version than 1.0 that works? Would the developer please update the Widget Gallery with the new version or post info as to how we can get it?

Emailed the author, and heard back within an hour. Had a new version running an hour later. Kudos!

May be ported to Dashboard soon, too. ^_^

Won't run on new installs, need to see if old ones still run. Corrupted install file?

Broken parseing of the feed? Feed format changed?

Anyone able to fix this puppy?

Sometime a few months back this widget stopped functioning. I see it start up with what appears like two dashes. Shortly after that, it dissappears. I've been checking back to see of the problem was resolved, however I have not seen any updates. I would like to say that this issue has been experienced a all of my desktops. Is this widget still working for everyone?

guruchill: To unload it, you'll have to close YWE and then edit the registry entry that lists the widgets to load on startup. You can take the widget out of the startup list there. HKCU->Software->Yahoo->WidgetEngine->LoadedWidgets key.

ISC Tracker stopped working. It won't show up on my desktop. Re-downloaded it and ran it, but still no joy.

Where did it go?

Hello, just some thoughts;

maybe use a flat map or have the globe rotate, as asia is not visable
allow for map size changing, perhaps with a slider, i run 1600*1200

thank you for your efforts thus far.

I realy like this widget and i give it a 4 star rating because it does what it's meant for and it does it well.

Hehe and now for my wishes :)

It would be nice to have the latest alerts displayed on 'mouse over'. Hmmm maybe just RegEx the title tags out of the RSS and feed it to Image.tooltip ... oops i'm getting into the implementation details already ;)

Thank you.

Could add some other tracking options.

Add an option to hide on Green (after all, yellow etc. are not all that common) and maybe play a sound when status changes.
