miPictureClock

This Widget has been designed as a combination tool for not only telling the time, but also displaying your pictures / photographs at the same time.

Options are included to not only vary the size of the clock, but also to vary the face design, including options for reversing the direction of the clock itself (AntiClock!)

Demo pictures are included.

If you have very large photograph files stored, you may find it useful to copy your favoprites to a specific directory for this Widget, and crop then to be square, and resize them to be up to a maximum of 600x600. This speeds up the processing and places less of a load on you machine.

Great widget! The only option I can't find is how to change the clock frame. Perhaps you could exchange ideas with the people who created the "Picture Frame" widget in your next updated version.

HOLY SHEET SHEET SHEET...........
To tell the truth this widget is by far the greatest ever clock ive seen.
But, can I suggest to remove or change the wooden border.
Anyway, a job well done.

Fantastic idea, I love it! And it's one of the few clocks that I can make very large. I looked long and hard for a clock that I could make large, among other things, and this is by far the best.

I'd like to see the option to not have the big wooden frame around it. And more choices for the types of numbers with minute ticks in between the numbers. How about your standard numerals but with a transparent inner "color" instead of the white.

Keep up the good work!!!

@Elizabeth Scheirman
Press F8 to go into "Konspose" mode where you will be able to set the preferences etc. This is Konfabulator's expected behaviour

I love this widget! My problem now is that I checked "Floating" for the position and I cannot select it to change back to "Normal." I think I had the "lock" box checked. There has to be some way to go back and fix this as I have tried deleting and reinstalling to no prevail! HELP

Needs more skins, an option to recurse sub-dirs, and the placement of the bg to be fixed - I find that some pictures are placed to far down, and the top edge is visible.

Super!Amazing!Wonderful!Good job!

Yes, more skins, sub-folder searching, second hand option. Otherwise, Perfect! Thank you! It's a keeper!

Very smooth

I like the idea a lot =)
Is it possible to make one with...say, a picture frame with a digital clock and calendar hanging at its bottom so as not to block the pictures?
Thanks a lot for the widget, have one on my desktop and planning to keep it there always ^_^

nice clock.i do have one suggestion for your upating future.how about adding a option of (never) changing the picture? if we were to find a photo that we liked we could stick with it till we change the setting.just a thought.good job.keep it up.

Great Idea!
It works rather well, also!
I'm don't like the large frame that much, but I see why, no masking of bitmaps =-( That would be a great underlying feature addition to Konfabulator. Perhaps a set of borders? I'm not crazy about the wood grain. Works great with album art folders! I want to give it 4 stars, but the bright orange wood grain just won't let me...

@Doctoad: It was requested by design to be that way (and specifies that in the preference pane) I will consider adding a checkbox in the preferences to allow folder recursion though if people want that though.

Doctoad - August 25, 2005
Very nice! Only it will not grab pictures from sub folders, this means I cannot just set "My Pictures" as the folder.

Capt John - August 24, 2005
Add a contrasting boarder around the hands as you do with the numbers

Timothy Romero - August 24, 2005
Since Konfabulator can't crop images into circles, you should add an option to make the clock square or rectangular instead.

Julian Searle - August 24, 2005
That border is there to cover over the corners of the picture as Konfabulator cannot crop an image into a circle.

Charles Hawtrey - August 24, 2005
Great widget! The only problem is that I find it totally unusable because of the large wooden border. There really needs to be some way to change, or even better remove, that border.

Allen Wu - August 23, 2005
Nice. Very customizable. Maybe add more skins?
