I'm more one that loves this widgets but is not working any more. Please, update it to Version 1.03.

nice addon, i fixed the error with the following change

function GetComicPageDate()
{
var imageString = "";
imageString += myDate.getFullYear();

and

function GetImageDate()
{
var imageString = "";
imageString += myDate.getFullYear();

the script din't know that you whant to do string operations, so it addes the month to the year and so on....

than it looks loke this
imageString = 2006
imageString = 2016 month = 10
imageString = 2039 day = 23
imageString = 2039.html

Same issue as CY : same date, same sympthoms.... Need to fix it as soon as possible ! My work rate is below its normal level since i can't be happy when logging every morning :'((((

Love this Widget! It works wonderfully. And the comics update! Please, pleeeeeeeeeease do one for Calvin and Hobbes, and The Boondocks, and...I'm sorry, am I rambling on and on? This is a great widget. If only it could show other comics besides just Garfield...not to say that I don't like this widget, it's just such a good widget, you should make another one like it, except it can browse other comic strips. Anyway, great job!!:)

needs the corners rounded on the botom and the top left corner when it is minimised flashes white sometimes and reeds rounding

It doesn't update the cartoons, I'm using MAC OSX 10.3.9.

I just do not know why some people think they can release widgets with the lack of a minimal knowledge in javascript.

Pleas change the code like this in garfield.js:
if (month < 10)
imageString += "0";
imageString += ""+month;
on methods GetComicPageDate() and GetImageDate()
because imageString would be interpreted as Integer, not as String.

Now it works for me.

Yeah, no upates since October, the code is crap, it needs to be cleaned and working for more than a month.

I miss my cartoons.. Garfield and Dilbert. I used to see them till about Friday, but do not see them anymore. I have WindowsXP SP2.

Not working today, is showing September 30 comic. :/

I checked the website and the comic is correct but the widget is unable to update it.

I hadn't spotted the fact that there was a newwer version of the penny arcade widget, will update this (and my others) to reflect that.

There is a new version coming very shortly that fixes the black bar bug.

Nice widget. How about combining this one with your other cartoon widgets into one 'multi-cartoon' widget that allows the user to choose the cartoon from the preferences.

Come on, we don't care if you like it or not, the only thing that's important if to know how the widget works and if it does what it has to do. You don't like garfield, fine, but don't uses childish insult as "you're an idiot if you like it", well I'd say : You're an idiot for having such stupid things to say.

garfield is a committee-generated comic that some newspapers won't run anymore simply because of its crapitude.

if you laugh at garfield, it's because you're an idiot.

but, it does fit a yahoo product, seeing as yahoo includes garfield on its default myyahoo pages. corporate love.

i'm giving this 0 stars because garfield is crap.

When there's no "next", sometimes clicking "next" makes the widget shrink down to the title only. Other times it just does nothing.

Works fine for me. Would be nice if the next arrow would "disable" itself or fade out to signify you are at the end of the comics (ie: today's comic).
