Changed a couple things for CPU useage, made it slightly more transparent, and, ahem, fixed a minor spelling error.

Glad people are seeing it in the spirit it was intended. I'm not political, just cynical.

Haha, very nice satire... gotta love it.
Though I feel sorry for all the negative remarks you're getting... Everybody who posted something negative should go look up the definition of "satire" in a dictionary...

I couldn't help myself, and modified this to be able to display the Sesame Street Terror Level

Nice widget, but CPU seems to spike if I touch it. Maybe that means I am supposed to be "incentivized" to buy a new computer to keep up to date with the threat advisory. I'll get to that after duct taping my windows.

Very funny. It's a nice looking widget. I personally don't care what the level is, for two reasons: I live in Spokane. Who in their right mind would attack Spokane? Two, I hate Bush. He thinks he knows what he's doing, and he hates liberals, hippies, and gays. Oh, well. At least he'll be gone in a few years. Anyway, I like the widget.

I think is great and I think is useful and I also think is a beautiful job, great idea to do it, it shows the maturity and the actual concern of the person who did it:) Keep it up I like the idea a lot

Funny. Bush sucks. Personally I won't listen to what the level is. The govenment is trying to control you with fear. If you guys actually are scaird of you are going to die because of a terroirst attack you are retarded and easily controlled. Think about it, there are always a chance it actually could happen, but the warnings not going to control the terrorists. All the worry and fear also caused by this would not be worth the little chance you will die.

This widget could be useful without the political commentary. No stars.

Fun stuff. Good to have a laugh at our diabolical politicians.

Your question as to the seriousness of this widget can be answered by reading my posts below. By the way, I am not really anti-Bush, or pro-Bush for that matter. This widget was made as a satire of our times, not a political statement, just so everybody knows, and doesn't flaimbait me with super conservative/liberal posts.

That sounds like it would take time. Time programming widgets is time spent out of my bomb resistant bunker. I don't know if I can take the risk, just look at the meter.

really cool for all of us who arn't the biggest fans of Bush and his terror threats (or Blair either!) It takes up to much room on my desktop however i like the idea that it could minamize to the current threat level- thant would be great

Woo hoo - spelling is at a higher level than our commander in chief. Transparent effects are on. I'll be proud to display this panic meter - thanks!

Thank you for your praise, but I'm affraid I can't accept it. I am simply a loyal citizen doing his duty to keep the public informed. BTW, in case anyone was wondering, this thing actually does update itself, if the alert level ever does change so will it.

Yes, this widget is a waste of time. A funny waste of time too, and almost as big as waste as the actual DHS Threat Advisory.

Man you guys can't take a joke! I made this widget in like 10 minutes! Now I'm getting bad feedback left and right! I have enough on my hands with school and maintaining my real widgets to think about releasing a new version anytime soon. Just consider this one an amusing comentary on modern times.

Sorry man, too big, too gaudy.

I understand this is probably a joke widget, but here's my constructive ideas for future versions: Colorize it with the glass effect. Possible transparent theme - like the original weather widget. Allow it to minimize to current alert.

As with all my widgets, if you don't like it, don't download it.

This is the definitive waste of time, and "access" should learn to spell before he demonstrates his anti-American bias

Ever notice how they almost never drop it below "elevated?" The rating loses its meaning if it's used so often.

Anyway, I should probably say something about the Widget... You spelled "exercise" wrong. :-)
