Devabulator allows you to browse *any category* of deviations on deviantART and displays their thumbnails in the Widget (one at a time).

This thumbnail will change every X seconds (configurable). You can force it to switch at any time by pressing 'n' or clicking the next button. Press 'p' or click the previous button to go to the previous deviation. Clicking the thumbnail will take you to the deviation page.

Use the Wallpaper menu to set the current deviation as your desktop wallpaper. Use the Download button to download deviations directly to your machine. The Mod flyout allows you to customize and finely tune the list of deviations returned.

If you experience difficulty moving the Widget around, keep the Control (Windows) or Command (Mac OS X) key pressed before attempting to drag with the mouse.

1.2: * Uses new Search API, search for deviations by a particular deviant, of a particular size, with specified keywords, etc.
* Fixes major bug in Wallpaper module for the flat file format - wallpaper support now also available for the Mac.
* Ability to download deviations directly from Devabulator.
* Anchor the bottom of Devabulator instead of the top.

* Set your desktop wallpaper from within Devabulator
* Compatible with deviantART version 5.0

0.5: I've added a few preferences:
* Variable image switch delay (enter 0 to inhibit switching)
* Random or sequential mode (affects the thumbnail ordering)
* Minimalistic mode (thumbnail is 100 pixels wide instead of 300 pixels - see inset in Preview image)
* Open full view (open the full view page instead of the deviation page on click)
* Abitlity to disable the background window
* Change the color of the background window to suit your desktop.

Good news, you *can* select the size of the deviations you are viewing in version 1.2. Open the mod pane and add and activate a "1280x1024" mod. Devabulator will now only show images of that size :)

Good widget - would be nice if one could select the size of pics to browse, i.e. if I wanted to browse only images of 1280x1024 res.

Dang, I love Devabulator -- yay for dA artists getting this exposure; I've come across some real gems I woud've missed otherwise! Thanks so much for keeping it updated and all the work you've put in this.

Great Widget! I love dA and this is a great way to check out what's happening without browsing around the site. I'd love to see a way to add deviations to my favorites/leave comments from the widget rather than having to click on the deviation, but otherwise its great!

I downloaded and used last night without a hitch... a real blast... and great for getting to view much more on dA.com than I would via the browser/gallery method... thx...

maybe i'm just not seeing it, but it'd be great to have an option to download the image without having to set it as wallpaper, maybe choose different resolutions if they are available. but these are small gripes, thanks for a great widget!

It's a good widget and I've been using it for a while now. But, every so often it just decides to close itself and i get one of those windows error messages saying "yahoo widget engine encountered a problem and needs to close, etc etc".

Sometimes it just happens seemingly entirely randomly
But it happens most often when i do something full-screen (ie a game)
Or, almost always if i go away and leave the computer for a while, it's set to switch the screens off after 10 mins, and when i come back that error is almost always waiting for me.

So something's a little wrong somewhere...would be nice to have a fix, but i use the widget anyway :)
