This is an awesome looking clock. I'd strap one to my wrist if I could... I'm getting an issue on OS X though. Twice a minute it's reporting start times to console.log. It's very messy... it looks like it might be left over debug stuff still running. Can this be eliminated? Here's an example:

2007-03-14 20:24:00.843 Yahoo! Widget Engine[404] [Retrograde3v1.1.widget] start(): Item 0 already running via start()
2007-03-14 20:24:00.844 Yahoo! Widget Engine[404] [Retrograde3v1.1.widget] start(): Item 1 already running via start()
2007-03-14 20:25:00.843 Yahoo! Widget Engine[404] [Retrograde3v1.1.widget] start(): Item 0 already running via start()

TIA

Congratulations on Widget Spotlight, it is well deserved. The graphics are beautifully done and the presentation is both unique and easily read (a difficult combination).

I wish there was a way to feedback directly to the author instead of this, but I have made some personal modifications (to shade the black to other colors to blend better with my personal desktop) and I would love to offer them to Mr. Izawa for his acceptance or rejection.
Incidently, as form follows function, the code is as nicely written as the widget is beautiful.

Really nice clock, with nice visuals and display. Few suggestions:
1) It will be nice to reduce the size of widget
2) Increase the size of date and time, in order to reduce the overall size, probably by making Day/Night and Moon phase features optional and on the periphery of the widget, rather than inside.

Looks stunning and is a refreshing change from other analog clocks. The large selection of different materials, reflections and other options make this one of the best clocks on offer. The author's dedication to users is a prime example to other developers.

This is the coolest widget ever. I actually replaced one of the widgets I've made that was on my own desktop with this. I just wish it were a little sharper when scaled down below 50%...

's too bad my desktop realisate is currently so full already...

My dad pulled a clock from the cockpit of a downed US airplane when he was serving in WWII (on Guadalcanal). It is a 24 hour black clock whose case looks a lot like this widget.
So I get to see the time, and remember Dad too!

A very intuitive widget! It is plain to see that some hard thinking went into this widget! If it had an alarm system to go along with it (meaning the ability to have multiple alarms like the Digital Clock widget) I could not give it enough Konfabulator stars! ! !

I am looking forward to the next version of this widget with great anticipation!

Looks Gorgeous, only problem is the cpu it uses. I'd love to see it more mechanical as well, moving back at the end of the hour, etc. What update do you run it on? I'm doing every 10 seconds.

really beautiful...I find myself staring at it just to watch it work. . You'll get the 4th star once you give me the ability to have it display a different time zone or at least skew it plus or minus hours from my local time.

Another option that would be nice would be to be able to display it with just a thin bezel around the lens - not the larger bezel with screws.

I love this widget.

Well done.

It's really nice having a date indicator, but the numbers are too small for most sizes! Could there be an option to enable a larger date display that takes up the entire space of the circle inside the hour numbers? Would be much appreciated.

Updating for 1.0.2 -- still fantastic .. the new items make it so much cooler.
Want to mention (in case others had same user error issue) ... I thought the day/night thing rotated like in a G-father clock. I didn't even notice the needle until today ... might want to make it a little more noticable?

Love this widget! I'm thinking of building a real one.
is there or will be a way for the widget to remember where it was the last time it was on my desktop? Please, this is important to me as my widgets are sorted around the desktop in a special order.

Thanks,
Ori...

Amazing clock. Can't you just add a seconds update interval setting, cause I'd prefer to update the seconds hand every 5 sec for example, but to reduce the CPU usage.

This is the best clock I've seen widget or not. Using it took a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of days I have no problem - it's actually easier to use.

My compliments Izawa-shi.

Dude... Four stars totally if there was a very smooth mechanical animation for transition for -hours- at least and the day to night thingy needs to do the same.. the minutes would be a big bonus as would the seconds. It is so cool mechanically but it was a let down to see the hour hand just magically appear down at the bottom. It -is- I suppose more precise because of that.. but precision is not necessary.

Gus - November 12, 2005
Completely useless but brilliant. I've got it sitting in the middle of my desktop.
BUT...It seems so beautifully mechanical, yet at the end of each minute and hour the hands just magically POP back to their starting points. It would be great if they could be seen to somehow cycle or bounce back.

Tis is a really cool looking widget. It is one of the better designed widgets on the site. Very innovative in capturing the metaphor of an aircraft-type instrument. The date would be nice, but I am very satisfied with the result.

I looked at the source "inspiration hardware, and frankly, you went one better. It's a bit of a CPU hog, but then again, it gives back enormous satisfaction to see it run. I'd like to see a series of widgets along these lines for system monitoring -- memory, CPU consumption, disk space, calendar, wifi activity, and especially network throughput (I know that's a rough one, especially cross-platform.) Anyway, my complements, and my vote, such as it is, for the most aesthetically pleasing widget ever.

Original, functional, and oh so beautiful. Only needs a tweak to make the day/night function work correctly (v1.0.1 doesn't fix the problem). A nice piece of work.

8 stars: each of my * is worth 2, here: absolutely amazing widget.
Is is perfectly original, and functional, and, well, beautiful.
This is creation at its best: how often do we not trace existing schemes, or do we not extrapolate from common reality and achievments our own work?
Retrograde3 reveals inductive thinking, rather than deductive: the author is a creative artist.
I repeat my enthusiasm: this widget is outstanding.
