I got bored so I started messing around with Paint Shop and ended up with a nice little question mark button. Then the inspiration hit me to do something useful with it, so I decided to make it a widget. But that widget was too big. So I made it smaller. Then I found a website that will take you to any random page of its choosing (http://www.randomwebsite.com). So I added that to the widget. And POOF! I had yet another charmingly useless widget.

2.0 (Not yet released)
----
This update will add some lacking usefulness and improved functionality to the widget. This update may include:

Adding more colors and flashing animations

Adding a feature to have the widget race frantically around the screen

Interfacing with common household appliances, most likely starting with toasters or coffee makers

Adding the option to change the question mark to an exclamation mark

umm it would have been better if the websites were actually interesting like next time you should put like game websites or www.bored.com ....thats actually a pretty cool website because nothing was interesting on the pages

This seems dangerous. If i'm not mistaken this could take u to a really bad place. Oh well. It's not my problem.

Honestly, I don't really like this widget, and I made it. If anyone wants to use the button code though, go ahead (please give me credit though). Widget code is by nature open source. If you want to read the code, either rename the widget to make it a .zip file (in Windows) or use the handy Widget Converter widget. If you choose to borrow code or if you would like to discuss something else, drop me an email at jordan <dot> mandel (at) gmail {dot} com.

I think I might update it eventually with better random websites and such, but who knows. Right now I've got to worry about college and making a cool battery widget.

Have you seen the "stumbleupon" extension for firefox? Any way to integrate into their database (you have to login to use the service)

25% of the random links were news pages that weren't in english and the rest were links to dodgey looking shops.
One of the links was for a dildo shop. :/
